[If there's one thing that Szel excels at above all else, it's his ability to overthink everything.
Tragically, the nod probably would have been heartening if he could have seen it, far more than he would have openly admitted. As it was, the tone lacked any indication one direction or the other as to how Lahabrea felt, and the demon was left to just imagine for himself what the other man's opinion was. It's going great, he definitely doesn't feel like a stupid goober.
The cafe isn't far, the sounds of conversation picking up in the distance and easily guiding Szel in the correct direction. It was a cozy enough spot, neither too cheap nor too fancy with plenty of outdoor seating. Good for him, those wings took up a lot of room.]
We'll probably need to buy something so they actually let us have a table.
[And if he sounds annoyed by this, he is. He really is, actually, he should be allowed to just borrow a table if it's empty!]
Just real quick, what are your units of measurement called? Just for the sake of conversion terms, I'll be using what's called the metric system. Units of measurement for length and distance are millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers, so on and so forth. As you can see, the basic unit here is a meter, it's very uniform.
Honestly, the perfect unit of measurement for conversion as far as I'm concerned.
